Grocery Grab Wednesday

It's getting harder and harder to fit grocery shopping into my Wednesday schedule, but I really make it a priority to take advantage of those Double Ad Wednesdays at Sprouts.  Today I really had to speed shop at Sprouts, so I unfortunately didn't get to compare prices as well as I usually do.  You'll notice I bought several splurge items that I usually don't allow in my budget, but it was a grab-and-go kind of shopping trip (I had to hurry to hit Target too, since we REALLY needed diapers).  My best money-saving grocery shops are not rushed.  I need time to consider all of my options and track down the best price for each item.

So, do you want to see what I ended up buying (and spending) this week?  Here's this week's Grocery Grab Wednesday!

So I went just a big over budget this week.  Not too bad considering I spent $7 on grapes and $12 on Pepsi Throwback.  We didn't truly need either, but I just wanted them as treats.  (Have you ever tried those Cotton Candy grapes?  They really are a treat when they come into season!)  This wasn't my most frugal week, but I didn't go too crazy with the grocery budget.  We have plenty of meat in the freezer, so we should be set with food until next week.  I'm planning pork chops, BLTs (using the tomato I bought last week that's still good), chicken drumsticks (in the freezer from last week), and homemade pizza.  We always eat our leftovers to fill in the other nights' dinners, so we should be set until next Wednesday!
