Grocery Grab Wednesday

Summertime., and the living is...busy!  Even with preschool out for summer, my 4 year old and 2 year old are keeping me on my toes.  Library, pool, park, playground...all of that fun can wear a person out!  I've also been working part-time, so my days are very scheduled.  Lucky for me I was able to squeeze in my grocery shopping today, so I can share Grocery Grab Wednesday with you!

This week I bought a few items that I don't usually purchase.  The white clam sauce was definitely different, but it sounded good with linguine and I think the kids might actually try it.  We'll see if it's any good.  I bought those Hawaiian dinner rolls (a big treat for us!) for mini sandwiches for a picnic dinner in the park.  We also are bringing lunch to a friend's house/playdate, so I bought some items for a special salad (organic lettuce, chicken breast, goat cheese, strawberries, sliced almonds, and poppyseed dressing).  And of course those monster cookies are for dessert after the special salad lunch (after salad, we can splurge on cookies)!

I also can't pass up the good Manager's Special deals on meat, so I grabbed the ground beef and pollo asado to put in the freezer.

This week I'm planning the following dinners:
- Mini Turkey and Cheese Sandwiches on Hawaiian Dinner Rolls (with salad)
- Homemade Cheese Pizza and Homemade Veggie Pizza (maybe with Italian sausage from the freezer)
- Hamburgers and Sweet Potato Fries (frozen burger patties, frozen buns, frozen fries with fresh lettuce and tomato)
- Beef Tacos with toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese, black olives, sour cream, and salsa)
- Pollo Asado on the grill (with salad)
