Grocery Grab Wednesday

Happy almost Fourth of July!  This Grocery Grab Wednesday was all about stocking up for grilling out.  We're doing traditional hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, etc for the Fourth of July.  We can see our city's fireworks from our backyard (well, side yard), so I'm looking forward to spending the afternoon and evening outside.  Hopefully the kids can stay awake until the fireworks start after dark!

This blog keeps me honest about my food spending, so I have to be honest here.  Earlier this week, picked up Applegate hot dogs (package of 8, hormone-free) at Target, and I forgot where I put the receipt so I couldn't add them to my weekly total!  BUT, I do remember that they cost around $4 (I think they were on sale and an extra 15% off with Cartwheel).  So even if I add those hot dogs to my total, I should still be under my $100 weekly budget.  Not bad for a holiday week!

I didn't need groceries for dinner tomorrow or Saturday since we will be eating at other people's homes (one of the perks of a holiday weekend)!  I got our usual mozzarella cheese so we can make pizza on Sunday (since we'll miss our Friday night pizza night this week).  I also have that adobo chicken from last week's grocery grab in the freezer and plenty of steaks in the freezer as well...so we'll be grilling out a lot!

I hope everyone has a great Fourth of July!  What's your favorite way to celebrate Independence Day?
